James joined Carnegie Consulting as a Director in August 2025 and specialises in private equity recruitment. With deep expertise across Private Equity and Credit Secondaries, NAV finance, and lending, James helps leading investment firms across the UK and Europe secure the talent they need to thrive.

Bringing more than twenty years of experience in financial services and executive search – including senior roles at HSBC, Robert Half, Saxton Leigh, and Carpenter Faraday – James combines technical understanding with recruitment excellence.

Trusted for his consultative approach, market insight, and long-term relationship building, he has successfully placed high-profile investment professionals and built entire teams for top-tier private equity and credit firms.
