Senior Manager Finance – Private Equity, Singapore

Reporting to: Asia Finance Controller

Location: Singapore

Salary: 110,000 – 125,000 Singapore Dollars

Our client is an international private equity fund manager with offices in 6 countries and more than $35 billion in assets under management, that specialises in investing and managing infrastructure assets globally.

Due to the substantial growth, a need has arisen for additional team members in the finance team. The finance team oversees the finance and related compliance obligations for the Firm’s investment and co-investment funds, as well as investment holding entities.

This individual will work closely with the Asia tax and finance teams to support the Firm’s finance and related compliance process. The finance team works closely with the investment team, tax team, legal and secretarial team. The ideal candidate will need to quickly learn processes and actively build strong relationships across the wider business. The company has a culture of no task is too big or too small, a successful team member will have the ability to wear multiple hats and help the firm grow and develop.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts of multiple entities and ensure all transactions are captured and coded correctly in accordance with company policies, Singapore Reporting Standards (SRS) and/or IFRS
  • Working with the Statutory Auditors (Big 4 auditors) for completion of audit of multiple group entities
  • Coordinate and contribute to the implementation of new finance-related systems and processes
  • Responsible for finance function related maintenance, compliance, and reporting for group entities
  • Assist in providing any financial information and analysis required by the business
  • Ad hoc project work and support Asia Controller as required, including projects to be implemented in group entities
  • Manage the accounts payable and staff expense claim processes
  • Supporting treasury related tasks like parking of surplus cash, opening bank accounts, maintaining banking relationship etc
  • Support portfolio (Investee) entities for information and data pertaining to the shareholder activities
  • Maintain data library in relation to finance department
  • Participate in finance department/company projects and related initiatives

The ideal candidate is likely to come from a similar role within a financial services firm or from a Big 4 firm, demonstrating an aptitude for this breadth of responsibilities, and should possess:

  • Chartered Accountant and at least 7-10 years of relevant work experience
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to engage and collaborate with senior stakeholders across the firm
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and develop positive relationships internally and externally
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities, resource constraints and key deadlines
  • Values prioritization and commitment while showing resilience in challenging situations
  • Strong MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
