Senior Manager Finance – Private Equity firm based in Singapore

Our client is an independent fund manager with $40 billion in assets under management that specialises in investing in and managing infrastructure assets globally, with a particular focus on North America, Europe, and selected growth economies.

As part of the continued expansion of our Singapore finance team, we are seeking additional professionals to support the firm’s growing operations. The finance team oversees all finance and related compliance obligations for the firm’s investment and co-investment funds, as well as investment holding entities. This individual will work closely with the Asia tax and finance teams to support the firm’s finance and compliance processes. The finance team also partners regularly with the investment, tax, legal, and secretarial teams.

The ideal candidate will be quick to learn, collaborative, and proactive in building strong relationships across the business. Reflecting the firm’s culture of “no task too big or too small,” the successful team member will be adaptable, hands-on, and play a critical role in supporting the firm’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an independent contributor, leading statutory audits across a high volume of group entities
  • Collaborate very closely with platform teams during the audit period
  • Prioritise and manage audit timelines and deliverables to ensure timely closure of audits within the defined window
  • Review the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts of multiple entities and ensure all transactions are captured and coded correctly in accordance with company policies, Singapore Reporting Standards (SRS), and/or IFRS
  • Work with Statutory Auditors (Big 4 auditors) for the completion of group audits
  • Responsible for finance function-related maintenance, compliance, and reporting for group entities
  • Provide financial support and data to the business, including ad hoc analysis as required
  • Coordinate and contribute to the implementation of new finance-related systems and processes
  • Ad hoc project work and support the Asia Controller as required, including projects to be implemented in group entities
  • Oversee the accounts payable processes, including the review and approval of vendor payments
  • Support treasury-related tasks, including cash management, bank account setup, and banking relationship maintenance
  • Provide support to portfolio (Investee) entities for finance-related shareholder activities
  • Maintain the finance department’s data library and support department/company initiatives
  • Be well-versed in private equity fund structures, co-investment arrangements, distributions, capital drawdowns, and related fund finance operations

The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in accounting and finance, ideally gained through a combination of experience in a similar role and/or at a Big 4 firm. They should be confident operating independently, managing complex statutory audits, and collaborating across multiple teams in a fast-paced environment. Specifically, the candidate should possess.

  • Chartered Accountant qualification with 10-12 years of relevant post-qualification experience
  • Proven experience managing statutory audits involving large volumes of entities, ideally within a multinational or private equity environment
  • Good understanding of private equity fund structures, including co-investments, capital drawdowns, distributions, and related financial operations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage senior stakeholders across functions
  • A proactive, self-starting mindset with a track record of prioritizing deliverables and managing deadlines, especially during critical audit periods
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across finance, tax, legal, investment, and platform teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity, flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, and resilience under pressure
  • Advanced MS Excel skills for financial reporting and presentation purposes
