- Supporting a growing but very well established salesforce (covering institutional clients and financial institutions across UK, Europe and US), you will be key in assisting the business in achieving its fund raising goals and be focused on supporting their Institutional fund raising efforts
- You will work closely with the sales team to deliver a consistently high level of client service across to Institutional clients across a range of geographies (predominantly the UK & US, plus Asia, Europe), taking a lead in understanding their client needs and proactively assisting with problem solving
- Within this role you will take ownership of investor servicing (international clients) dealing with all proactive and reactive client queries, as well responding to the needs of the third party marketing fund who sell a number of key funds into the North American market
- Produce high-quality, complex requests for proposals (RFP’s), requests for information (RFI’s) and due diligence questionnaires (DDQ’s) based on a well-researched understanding of a client’s requirements, all of which are key to proper client engagement and effective sales
- Updating and maintaining Consultant and internal RFP content databases
- Ensure all responses to client service and requests for information are clear, accurate, comprehensive, and timely
- Be the point of contact for new and existing clients for operational, legal, general onboarding and servicing queries
- To develop a good understanding in ESG content, as well as a familiarity across many other facets of company-level content (e.g. Compliance, Operations, Trading, Product, Risk etc.)
- Assist sales teams with client follow-up, by email, phone calls and face-to-face meetings
- Liaise with fund management and operational teams to resolve complex client issues
- Ensure the CRM system is updated with all relevant client interaction and meeting activity
- Working with the rest of the team to improve and streamline current client service processes by integrating new technology to create the best experience
- Working with junior members of the team to ensure high quality responses
- The asset manager is keen to further develop its Institutional offering, to compliment the on-going success of raising assets from Financial Institutions – Fund platforms; Private Banks; Family Offices; Fund of Funds / Fund of Hedge fund managers
Your Experience:
- You will have a strong record of academic achievement being able to comfort with both the quantitative and qualitative side of this role
- Relevant industry qualifications would be beneficial and add further credibility i.e. IMC etc.
- You may have worked within a sales support / client services function within an asset management business, have RFP writing experience, and, have gained a broad appreciation of the workings of an asset manager and the key role that a sales department plays within it
- Alternatively you may well be a dedicated RFP Writer within an asset manager, looking for the next step of your career within a broader role with an emphasis on Institutional Client Service
- In terms of your requirements, you may feel that you would benefit from working within a role that is broader than your current one, offering the opportunity to work much more closely with both the sales team and clients – this is very much a commercially focused role
- Possess excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and be able to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail even when working under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Strong knowledge of institutional and wholesale markets
- Ability to learn and embrace new technology
- Understand and keep up to date with compliance issues to ensure ongoing compliance with the FCA Code of Practice
