An exiting chance to be the first accounting hire for a start-up hedge fund, currenty with £1bn AUM but growing. The role will be incredibly varied and will provide oversight across both management and fund accounting. You will be a fully qualified accountant and your experience could be from accounting practice/audit, from a smaller fund manager or from third party fund administration. The main priority is across management accounting.
The Role
- Assisting in monthly fund NAV production / reconciliation / sign off.
- Take responsibility for and work with outsourced accounting firms for management company accounts production across UK, US and TW entities. Reconciliation, consolidation, intercompany distributions etc.
- Assist in the production of budgets / forecasts / scenarios for the group, including balance sheet projections, cash-flow forecasts, regulatory capital requirement calculations.
- Assist with ad hoc projects such as building out the infrastructure and internal processes for employee re-investment scheme tracking.
Requirements
- You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Ideal experience will be management accounting from a small hedge fund or asset manager
- Fund accounting experience, ideally with experience of hedge funds, will be desirable
- Able to work independently and as part of a small company
- Have strong academics, be intellectually curious and work in both a proactive and flexible manner
