The People Operations Manager (HR Manager in any other language) position is covering the maternity leave of the HR generalist supporting UK-based teams, European offices, and a global population of contractors and agency staff. The role works closely with senior stakeholders and global People teams to deliver effective, compliant, and people-focused operations.
The Role
- Act as a trusted People partner to managers, supporting recruitment, onboarding, development, and engagement across multiple locations
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring timely and high-quality hires
- Own starter, leaver, and mover processes, ensuring contractual accuracy and policy compliance
- Coordinate with Employer of Record partners in multiple regions to manage employee lifecycle and communications
- Collate and submit accurate monthly payroll inputs and produce contractual change letters (pay reviews, promotions, leave arrangements)
- Maintain and manage employee data, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and appropriate use of systems
- Support compliance with local employment legislation and global People policies
- Communicate People policy updates clearly and positively across the organisation
- Support performance review, merit review, and pension or payroll-related processes
- Deliver local initiatives that strengthen employer branding, onboarding, and employee engagement
- Contribute to global People projects and cross-functional initiatives as required
The Candidate
- 5+ years’ experience in a senior or generalist HR / People Operations role
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage end-to-end recruitment
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and operational HR compliance
- Confident HR systems user with excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Knowledge of Payroll through a third party provider. European Payroll experience an added advantage.
- Self-starter, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-site international environment
This role has relatively flexible working with 2 or 3 days in the office and the other 2 or 3 working from home. (assume the first month will be more in the office than not )
