Our client is a global private equity business. This firm is experiencing exponential growth and continues to enhance it’s London operation. A new role has been created to support the GP Controller to help with various aspects of GP accounting, reporting and capital functions.
The Role
- Facilitate the preparation of General Partner NAV packages by liaising with the GP administrator
- Review quarterly financial statements, notes disclosures and supporting schedules prepared by the GP administrator
- Review partner capital statements prepared by the GP administrator
- Facilitate the preparation of capital call and distributions by liaising with the GP administrator
- Manage internal reporting portal for members of the GP, which includes posting quarterly financial statements, NAV statements, capital activity, tax documents, and other reporting items.
- Allocate carried interest and calculate vesting on an unrealised basis for quarter end reporting
- Allocate and distribute realised carried interest earned from funds
- Maintenance of carried interest and GP investment ownership schedules
- Maintain books and records of a GP aggregator entity which consolidates the various GP entities into one partnership
- Prepare support schedules for the quarterly tax estimates and filings with the tax team and external advisors
- Other ad-hoc requests/reporting for partners
Requirements
- You will need to be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA CIMA)
- Some relevant experience/exposure to Private Equity. This can either be from an audit perspective, having worked in the industry or from a fund administrator
- Hold a degree and have excellent academics
- Be able to work in a small team
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
