Fund Accountant, Private Equity

A massively exciting opportunity to join a growing Private Equity fund in central London. Working in a small Finance function, you will get exposure to all areas of Finance and beyond. The progression is endless and this firm can support your future direction in whichever part of Finance that appeals to you most. Not only this but the role is offered with carried interest on top of a good basic salary and bonus.

The Role

Fund Accounting

  • Day-to-day management of the relationship with the fund administrators
  • Management of the production of periodic investor reporting (including accounts, capital account statements, and quarterly reports)
  • Day-to-day management of annual fund audits
  • Maintenance of fund records in a fund model
  • Support tax advisors in the preparation of annual tax reporting for the funds and associated entities
  • Support in preparation of quarterly valuations

Investor Relations:

  • Support with ongoing investor reporting and requests
  • Gradually increasing exposure to investors to take on responsibility as the go-to contact for existing investors
  • Preparation of materials for investor updates (including fund AGMs and fundraising)

Treasury Management:

  • Monitoring cash requirements for the funds
  • Managing the process for investor drawdowns and distributions
  • Working with the investment team to understand and meet funding requirements
  • Management and monitoring of fund financing facilities

Portfolio Monitoring

  • Management of the platform for the monitoring of investments
  • Preparation of periodic internal reporting with respect to the portfolio, working closely with the investment team

Group Operations

  • Support the Finance and Operations Manager with the ongoing financial management of the business
  • Support the Finance and Operations Manager with the ongoing management of the operations for the business (including office management, IT, and ad hoc projects)

ESG/impact

  • Support with the collection of ESG/impact data in respect of portfolio companies
  • Support with the preparation of an annual impact report

Compliance Reporting

  • Support with preparation of periodic compliance reporting in respect of the funds

Requirements

  • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Have relevant Private Equity fund accounting experience
  • Be happy working as part of small, specialist Finance team
  • Work in a highly collegiate and collaborative manner
  • Have excellent all-round interpersonal skills
  • Have a commercial mindset and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment
