Portfolio Monitoring Executive – Private Credit

The Opportunity

  • Working for one of Europe’s leading Private Credit Funds, this is a fantastic career opportunity for an exceptional candidate
  • A broad role that offers a huge amount of internal and external interaction with key stakeholders. As you’d expect, you will need to possess brilliant communication skills, both verbal and written
  • The Portfolio Management team is newly created and provides support to the growing Private Credit platform as it continues to scale. This function is deeply embedded within the wider Investment team and supports the investments post-origination throughout their entire investment cycle, by the provision of routing monitoring and oversight
  • The approach is very much risk based, with credit analysis at the heart of the role

Key outputs include:

  • Active portfolio monitoring and the management of corporate actions that may include covenant waivers, liquidity issues etc..
  • The enhanced monitoring of assets that are performing behind plan. Tracking of risk factors and their potential impact on the portfolio companies
  • Portfolio Analysis through technical credit analysis and the periodic reporting of these to Partners and Investors
  • Ongoing coverage of both the management and sponsor relationship
  • Restructuring – this is a key part of the role but fortunately only in rare circumstances, due to the quality of the origination process, along with the ongoing regular and enhanced monthly monitoring provided within this function

Your Experience

  • You will possess an very accomplished level of intellectual rigour, most likely combined with the completion of professional qualifications that my include ACA or CFA
  • You will have experience working within Private Credit and / or Leveraged Finance, with strong financial modelling and Credit Risk Analysis being at the core of your experience
  • It is likely that your previous experience will include similar credit risk based Investment Monitoring experience from a Private Credit / Direct Lending background
  • Candidates from a pure Restructuring background may be considered, however please note that restructuring only forms a limited part of this role due to the quality of the investment due diligence, along with the ongoing risk based oversight and reporting that largely prevents nasty surprises!
  • Excellent communication skills are essential, in particular your writing ability. It is essential that your written content within the periodic reports is succinct and informative and is appropriate for the intended audience
