A great opportunity to join a PE firm with circa £2bn AUM and to take a step-up in your career to be their Fund Controller. You will be overseeing and reviewing the accounts prepared by the external administrators and presenting the final numbers to the CFO. You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA preferred) and have requisite Private Equity fund accounting experience. A selection of the duties are indicated below
The Role
- Take ownership of and manage all fund and SPV reporting and operations
- Maintain a quarterly cash flow projection for the funds
- Respond to LP cash projection requests
- Ensure that all standing ad hoc information requests from LPs are actioned
- Setting quarterly timetables with administrators
- NAV review and approval at fund level
- Review quarterly SPV management accounts
- Ownership and oversight of all audit processes
- Manage drawdown process
- Preparation of SPV Distribution Control Schedule
- Preparation of Fund Distribution Control Schedule
- Ensuring that all invoices payable by the funds are approved, coded, authorised for payment and passed onto the relevant administrators for payment
- Verifying management fee calculations prepared by administrator
- Coordinating the US tax reporting (K-1s, PFIC etc) which will involve working with the investment team, administrators and US tax advisors to ensure collation of underlying information and the ultimate delivery of the reports to LPs
- Production of monthly portfolio performance reports produced on iLevel
- Attend valuation meetings and prepare the minutes of the meetings
Requirements
- You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
- Have relevant and requisite experience in Private Equity fund accounting
- Your experience will likely be gained from working for another Private Equity firm or from in the Private Equity practice of a leading accounting firm where you are auditing Private Equity funds
- Have very strong attention to detail
- Be accurate and timely in your reporting
- Be able to work as part of a small team
